I just got back from the Game Developers Conference, which is the central creative gathering place for the videogame industry. I used to be the director of the event until I joined Electronic Arts, a videogame publisher, to do business development. The reason I was at GDC was to find the next great game to publish, and indeed just before GDC we announced a pair that I had worked on, Shank and DeathSpank. If you’re interested, you can read more about it on Kotaku.
However, since the launch of this site and a couple of tweets to that effect, at GDC a number of my colleagues expressed interest in Gravity and what’s coming next. Several of them noted that I have quotes from film, TV, and books, but not from the world of videogames. This is by no means a deliberate omission, and a couple of game developers have indeed kindly offered to read the book in advance of its publication. Hopefully we’ll be hearing from them soon.
The other big question I got was when people could get their hands on it. While I don’t have an update at the moment, I can say there will be a pre-order process, and as soon as that goes live, everyone will know about it!

I am one of the lucky few that has had a chance to read Gravity and I can tell you it is a visionary work, especially for a first time (but not the last time!) author. Jamil has crafted a unique story that is epic in scope, but intimate in approach.
Thank you Mark, I really appreciate all your support!
